Batch tracking

General

Batch tracking is used to search for batches in COGLAS. Objects relating to historical stocks, goods receipt and goods issue are displayed as a result. If no result is displayed, no reference data could be found for the search.

For the result data, further searches must be carried out via the stock movements, goods receipt lists and sales orders. Other analyses and menus can also be used for searches.

Search specification

You can search for an article number or a batch in the analysis. The search can also be combined with an article number with an associated batch. Only individual values can be searched for (no value list).

Overview:

  • Search by article number

  • Search by batch

  • Search by article number with a batch

Search result

Stock
The stock shows stocks that have already been booked out for the search. The last process can be recognised by the system warehouse name.

Example:

  • ‘Main node → Destroyed goods’ manual write-off (e.g. manual transfer to the ‘Destroyed goods’ system node)

  • ‘Main node → Inventory’ inventory posting

  • ‘Main node → Goods derecognised’ COGLAS posting (e.g. goods issue)

Goods receipt
The goods receipt displays the posted goods receipts for searching.
A distinction is made between goods receipt postings with and without a goods receipt list. Goods receipt lists have the completion status ‘Completed’ or higher (example ‘Transferred to ERP’).

  • Posting without a goods receipt list:
The stock was entered in COGLAS at the storage bin. For example, for a stock correction or inventory posting. The shop floor function can also be used to enter stock without a goods receipt list using ‘Add SU’.

  • Posting with goods receipt list:
The stock has been entered and posted to a goods receipt list. The associated item(s) can be checked within the goods receipt list using the list link.

  • General:
The list number (if available) and the container IDNR must be used for further searches.

Outgoing goods
The goods issue displays the posted goods issues for the search. Only processed goods issues with the status ‘Booked out’ are displayed. As a result, the linked goods issue list number can be used to check goods issue items.

Further analyses
Batch tracking provides information on the previously mentioned objects. With the information researched in this way, further analyses can be used to obtain more details.

Example:

  • Goods receipt

  • Use the stock movement to search for the list number and the container IDNR.

  • Use ‘Value1;Value2;Value3’ to start the search with several values in one evaluation.

  • Outgoing goods

  • Stock movement and interface history
