COGLAS Update

General information

COGLAS recommends that its customers update to the latest COGLAS version every 6 months. An update includes all new features and optimisations, making your WMS more efficient. The commercially commissioned features are available to the customer immediately after the update.

The following checklist supports the customer in test planning and implementation.

Please note which of the two solutions you will be using.

  • The COGLAS Cloud solution always has the customer's test system available on the latest COGLAS Web version on the test.coglas.com system.

  • The COGLAS on-premises solution is to be updated twice a year in consultation with the customer.

Test system

Coordinating the date for the update with the customer

COGLAS and customer

COGLAS Cloud and on-premises solution:

  • The COGLAS test system is regularly updated to the COGLAS web version.

  • The COGLAS test system can be updated to the COGLAS web version at any time without further coordination.

  • Exceptions are test periods agreed with the customer.

Delimitations:

  • The update of the test system schema is not included in this process.

Test system

Testing the COGLAS Web test system

Customer

COGLAS Cloud and on-premises solution:

  • The customer is responsible for testing all processes.

  • The functionality is to be confirmed in consultation with COGLAS (e.g. incoming goods process, picking, inventory, etc.).

  • The test process should be completed by the customer within 5 working days. A longer period must be agreed with the COGLAS project manager. However, the test should still be completed within the individual time frame.

  • The data interface(s) shall be tested by the customer.

  • The customer test is carried out with the COGLAS login for a warehouse user. Project-specific role rights are also part of the test scope.

  • Testing with the ‘Administrator’ system role should be avoided.

  • The customer provides sufficient personnel for testing.

Coordination of dates for productive commissioning

COGLAS and customer

  • Coordinate the appointment with the customer and have it confirmed in writing.

  • Update periods must be scheduled within COGLAS working hours between 08:00 and 17:00.

  • Appointments outside COGLAS working hours will be arranged individually.

  • Contact the customer promptly before the update date to check whether the appointment can be carried out as planned.
