Login policy
General
Additional login guidelines can be activated.
If the guidelines are activated for a user, the password complexity guidelines only apply from the next password renewal. The administrator can speed this up by forcing the password change at the next login.
The set login guidelines must be activated for each individual user.
Input options
Fields | Description |

Minimum length of the password | Specifies the minimum number of characters that passwords must have. |
The password requires an uppercase letter (A-Z) | If the checkbox is selected, at least one character in the password must be an uppercase letter. |
Password requires a lower case letter (a-z) | If the checkbox is selected, at least one character in the password must be a lowercase letter. |
Password requires a number (0-9) | If the checkbox is selected, the password must contain at least one digit. |
Password requires a special character (no letter or number) | Requires that the password must contain at least one special character. |
Password history (number of passwords that cannot be reused) | Number of passwords that may not be reused. |
Minimum period for password use | Defines the minimum number of days the password must be used. The administrator is still able to reset the password of other users, even if the minimum password age has not been reached. |
Make sure that you do not use any spaces in the input fields.
