Shipments

General

The shipment is used to consolidate several customer orders into one shipment number.

The shipment can be confirmed with a shipment booking to the booking destination ‘Shipment consolidation’. The customer order status ‘Ready for dispatch’ is assigned with the shipment confirmation to the booking destination.

The Shipment number field in the sales order header is used to assign a shipment. For joint loading of the consignment, the sales order ‘Tour no.’ should be maintained with the identical number of the consignment.

Status of the shipment:

  • Pending

  • In process

  • Staged

Start the shipment:

  • Strategy Maintenance with type ‘Automatic shipment’ required. The shipment starts as soon as all customer orders for the shipment have the status ‘Ready for loading’. A source and destination setting must be included in the strategy. Actual standard must also be activated.

  • Strategy maintenance with type ‘Manual shipment’ required. The manual start of the consignment is executed from the consignment control centre.

  • The shipment start is used to transport the storage units to the stored destination. If the zone type ‘Shipment consolidation’ exists on the destination node, the sales order status ‘Ready for dispatch’ is also updated as soon as all shipment transports have been confirmed.

Shipment Control centre buttons:

  • Stage shipments

  • Force shipment completion

Shipment Transfer

Menu: System → Transfer → Transfer → Transfer orders → Staging outbound → Shipment

The transfer processing depends on the strategy setting. With the default setting, every transfer position from the source to the destination must be confirmed.
