Transfer in general

General

The planned transport of storage units within the warehouse is carried out using the transfer orders generated by the system. As a rule, the exact source and destination storage bins and the storage unit are stored in a transfer order.

Exception:
When storing SUs with identical stock qualifications (article number, batch, special stock number, quantity, ...) in a block storage bin, so-called "random access" is necessary because the position of a specific SU in the block is not known. The employee may then pick up any storage unit from the source storage bin during stock removal.

The transport orders are assigned to a category depending on the process. The transport requests form displays the number of open transport orders on the button for each category. By pressing a button, the employee decides which TO to process.

Alternatively, they can scan the barcode of an SU to display an associated TO. If there is no TO for the SU, the message "No transfer order item for storage unit" is displayed.

Description of the categories for transport orders:

Button	Description
Goods in	Transport from goods receipt to the warehouse
Production	Material delivery from the warehouse to production Transport of finished goods from production to the warehouse
Inhouse	Planned stock transfers from: LE stock transfer with strategy, optimisation of the warehouse by the control station or storage transports as a round trip with set-up trolley. For a round trip, any empty trolley is scanned and equipped with the storage units to be transferred. Once the setup has been completed, the transport orders for the round trip are created using an internal strategy. The round trip can be started immediately or round trips can be created for further trolleys. The creation of trolleys is described in the chapter Warehouse structure → Change topology.
Staging outbound	Transport of SUs requested for customer orders from the warehouse to the staging area (Goods out → Customer orders).
Goods out	Transport of shipping units from staging to goods issue. Transport orders for direct loading from the warehouse are also sorted here (Goods out → Customer orders).
All categories	Cross-category list of all open transport orders.
Sorting of transport orders	Within a category, the sequence of transport orders is defined according to the following criteria: Goods receipt Destination storage bin ID Transport order Production Destination storage bin ID Transport order Provision Source storage bin ID Transport order Goods out Tour item of the sales order Sales order item number Source storage bin ID Transport order
