General

Warehouse optimization evaluates the stock and movements. An ABC classification is suggested as a result based on specified threshold values.

Warehouse optimization is required as a basis for evaluation for two functions.

ABC Analysis

Evaluation based on movement history with freely definable threshold values.

Warehouse reorganization

Transfers in the warehouse for various reasons:

  • compaction

  • Reallocations due to a new ABC distribution

  • Closure of storage areas

Thresholds

  • Maintenance of thresholds Value for standard ABC classification A .. F

  • Evaluation of ABC value in %.

    • The rating of 1% is high.

    • The rating 100% is low.

    • Values between 0.1 and 100% must be selected.

    • A value of 100% has the lowest rating and concludes with the assigned ABC value.

Date range

  • Enter date From/To

  • Evaluation period.

  • Only goods issue postings from the valuation period are taken into account.

Start ABC analysis

  • Start analysis for the selected period.

  • Depending on the time period and number of bookings, the process may take longer.

Recalculate with new tresholds

  • Recalculate the ABC classification proposal according to the threshold values.

Apply results

  • Accept proposal ABC classification change.

  • Prerequisite:

    • A new ABC value has been suggested for the item number in the results table.

    • The "Apply" checkbox in the table is active.

Display only if the article master data exists. External articles Containers in the bookings are not taken into account for this purpose. However, they are taken into account under the individual article quantity.

Containers not maintained in the article packaging units are not taken into account.

Quantity percentage

Quantity of goods issued during the period.

Percentage share of total bookings during the period.

Only affected movements are customer order goods issue and production order consumption posting.

Access count percentage

Number of bookings for the item number during the period.

Percentage share of all bookings during the period.

ABC classification

Display of current ABC value and suggested new ABC value.

Apply

Checkbox to indicate whether the new ABC value should be updated.
